The Confidence That Comes From a Good Night’s Rest, a Make-Up Routine That Works, and Fashion Style That Fits with Misha Lewis

I would take a guess to say that there isn’t one person out there who hasn’t on some level experienced significant change over the past 12 months.

A Revolutionary, Convenient, and Low-Conflict Divorce Option with Hello Divorce CEO, Erin Levine

At the time of this recording, we are still in the midst of a global pandemic due to the coronavirus and even though things are looking up with the administration of the vaccines, we are still a ways away from returning to “normal,” whatever that will mean in the months and years to come.

But, as many of you know, throughout this pandemic so much of our everyday lives ended up taking place virtual and online.

Everything from social interactions including dating, weddings, and birthday parties have all pivoted online. In fact, each one of us will have celebrated a socially distant birthday over the past year.

In addition to social interactions going online, many businesses and organizations have pivoted to the digital world as well as to keep up with our “new normal.” This has even included the legal community with court hearings happening virtually in addition to and many other things that we used to only do in person now happen on Zoom. For the most part, it’s been terrific.

Yet, what really excites me about today’s guest is that she took what typically was an in person, potentially expensive and time consuming area of the law online years ago and hasn’t looked back since.

Erin Levine is an entrepreneur, legal innovator, and Certified Family Law Specialist. She is the founder and CEO of Hello Divorce, a “modern breakup service” offering an affordable, convenient, and low conflict divorce option through a revolutionary web application, the Divorce Navigator.

Erin’s legal technology and access to justice work has been recognized by the legal industry and beyond — with recent awards from the American Bar Association, Women Founders Network, Super Lawyers, Duke University School of Law and Fastcase 50, which honored the law’s smartest, most courageous innovators, techies, visionaries and leaders.

And for all of my lawyers and those involved in the legal community, you know this is a pretty big deal. As a fellow lawyer myself I can certainly attest to the fact that lawyers as a whole are not typically on the cutting edge of technology and in many instances, prefer to keep things status quo as they’ve always been.

Listen to the full episode to hear:

  • The story behind Hello Divorce and what inspired Erin to explore a new way of doing divorce
  • How Erin identified the need for doing divorce differently and how she found a way to make it work in the legal industry
  • The average cost of divorce is $20,000 but through Hello Divorce, many people can do it from start to finish for $1,500
  • How fear is our biggest battle during the divorce process and how Hello Divorce is empowering people through education

Shifting Your Mindset to Set Your Direction with Erin Haworth

As a mom, how many of you feel like your time and energy to do one more thing for one more person is completely maxed out?

I am directly talking to those of you who’ve spent very little time pouring into yourself, accomplishing your goals and achieving your dreams because you consistently fail to put yourself on your own to do list.

How many of you can relate? I know I certainly can.

So much of the time we—myself included—pile onto our plate more than any one person can realistically carry. When we drop the ball (or four…) we’re so hard on ourselves.

But if the plate can only hold 5 balls at a time and you drop 10? Well, of course that’s going to be the case! We’re only one person. But what’s even more astonishing is that of the handful of things we’re juggling, not one of them was for us!

If you’re nodding with agreement, then this episode is for you.

I’m excited to speak with Erin Haworth. Erin is a business strategic, productivity coach, and the founder of Work With Process where she helps maxed-out moms ditch the overwhelm, take focused action, and build the business of their dreams through strategic, smart action and optimizing how they spend their day.

This episode is all about refocusing our energies and prioritizing ourselves.  It’s hard enough to keep up with our careers, our kids’ lives, and that of our relationships, and we are often an afterthought.

Listen to the full episode to hear:

  • How to create an intentional morning routine to give you a greater sense of control in your day
  • The challenges of losing your identity as a mom—and how to reclaim yourself and your dreams to accomplish your goals
  • Why self-awareness is key in creating the life that you want
  • The #1 block that Erin’s clients come to her with and how they work through it together
  • How the way you react to something can change everything rather than being a victim

The Emotional, Behavioral, Cognitive, and Physical Manifestations of Stress with Dr. Autumn Spence

Hello and Happy New Year! Welcome back to our first show of 2021.

Like so many of you making changes and pivoting in 2020, we here at the Tracey Coates Show decided to take a pause over the last couple of months so we could come back with even more fantastic episodes. I’m really excited to be back… I’ve missed all of you!

2020 was certainly a year to behold and at the time of this recording we just witnessed unfathomable attacks on our democracy by our very own and, honestly, it’s bone chilling.

While it has disappointingly set the tone for 2021, my hope is that we, as a country, quickly reset and that the tough lessons of 2020 help to shape the next 11 months towards not only righting our political system but even more importantly correcting the racial injustices and inequities that are sadly ingrained in our society.

Despite 2020 now being in our rear view mirror, we’re still grappling with so many of the angst and stressors of the many hurdles we’ve all dealt with. In a lot of ways, we continue to deal with them on a daily basis. At multiple times in life, everyone will experience stress—and stress can take a tremendous toll on every aspect of your mental and physical health.

That’s why it’s more important than ever to understand how stress impacts us day-to-day, the physiological and long term effects of stress, and how to combat them.

Joining me on the show today is Dr. Autumn Spence. Dr. Spence is a board-certified adult and geriatric primary care nurse practitioner, a wife, and mom of two little ones. Dr. Spence is truly passionate about her work and you’ll hear the passion she has in developing and improving patient care which has been the driving force for her career path.

Listen to the full episode to hear:

  • Different types of stress and tips on how to recognize them
  • How stress can harm your physical and physiological health
  • The difference between chronic stress and short term stress
  • How stress manifests itself differently in different people
  • Different ways to bring mindfulness into your everyday life to reduce stress

Taking Time for a Holiday Break

I’m sure I do not have to tell anybody out there that 2020 has been a year filled with surprises and twists and turns – the realities of COVID-19, the stresses of remote learning.

And so we’re trying something a little different this year. We’ve decided to take a short hiatus over the holiday season to regroup and focus on what is really important to us.

We will return on January 14th with a great lineup of podcast episodes that I know you’re going to love.

In the meantime, for all of my moms out there – sisters and friends and daughters and wives – my monthly subscription box and online community Time4Mom would make a great gift for you or someone you care about. To let them know: Hey, I’m thinking about you.
